The short version
There is no user database here. This site is a set of static pages and two forms. When you submit one it is emailed to us, and your name and email are added to a mailing contact list. That is the whole system. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, we set no tracking cookies, and we never hold your social media password.
What we collect
From account owners
- Name, email, messenger handle, country of residence.
- Account details: profile URL or handle, creation year, audience size, engagement, niche, country, verification and restriction history.
- Identity documents, where we need them to confirm you are who you say you are.
- Payment details: the method, currency and country you want to be paid in. Full bank details are exchanged when a payment is due, not at enquiry.
From renters
- Name, work email, company, website, country, phone or messenger handle.
- Requirements: platforms, volume, target audience, intended use, budget.
Automatically
- Standard web server logs kept by our host, and the page a form was submitted from. Nothing else.
What we never collect
- Passwords for this site — there is no login, so there is nothing to store.
- Your social media account password. Access is arranged directly between owner and renter, normally through a shared browser session the owner can revoke.
- Card or full bank details through this website. Invoices are settled through a payment provider or by bank transfer, and those details never touch this site.
Where it goes and where it lives
A form submission does three things and no more:
- It is sent to our own inbox so a person can act on it.
- A confirmation email goes back to you with a reference number.
- Your name and email are added to a contact list held by Resend, kept separately for owners and renters, because the two need completely different follow-up.
From there the record lives in our email and in the ordinary business records we keep for invoicing. It is not loaded into any product database and it is not exposed anywhere on this website.
Why we hold it
- To answer your enquiry and, if it goes ahead, to arrange and support the rental.
- To raise invoices, make payments, and keep the accounting records the law requires.
- To confirm identity, which is how we keep fabricated accounts out.
Who sees it
An owner's name, handle and profile URL are shared with a renter only once that owner has agreed to that specific renter. Until then, what a renter sees is anonymised. A renter's company and intended use are shared with the owner, because that is the information the owner needs in order to say yes or no. Nothing is sold to anyone, ever, and no profile is published on this site.
The services we rely on: our website host, Resend for sending email and holding the contact list, and a payment provider when an invoice is settled by card. Each is bound by contract to use the data only to provide that service to us.
Email we send you
The contact list is used for email about your own submission and occasional updates relevant to your side of the arrangement. It is never rented, sold or shared. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing has no effect on a live rental — that carries on over email as normal. Contacting support does not add you to any list; that message gets a reply and nothing else.
How long we keep it
- Identity documents: deleted once the account is no longer being offered.
- Rental and invoice records: kept for 6 years, because tax and accounting law requires it.
- Enquiries that did not go anywhere, and support messages: 24 months, then deleted.
- Mailing contact record: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Form drafts: saved in your own browser's local storage so a half-finished form is not lost. They never reach us and are cleared when you submit.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@profileonrent.com and we respond within 30 days. Because there is no database, a deletion request is handled by removing the records from our email and from the contact list, other than anything we are legally required to keep. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking cookies. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you have not been shown a banner. Form progress is kept in your browser's local storage, stays on your device, and is cleared when you submit.
